Behavioral Health Science Center
The Behavioral Health Division of LVHHN provides comprehensive mental and behavioral health services including inpatient, partial hospital treatment, outpatient and residential programs. Children, adolescents, adults and the elderly are treated and psychiatric rehabilitation and support services are also offered.

Breast Health Services
At LVH, our breast cancer detection rates are among the best in the country, thanks in part to state-of-the-art mammography equipment and highly skilled mammography technologists. We significantly exceed national standards in detecting breast cancer at the smallest and earliest stages when the chance for cure is at its best.

Burn Care & Recovery
At the Burn Center at Lehigh Valley Hospital , we are dedicated to providing the best possible care and comfort for burn patients and their families. As a regional referral center, we provide you and your loved ones with the most advanced, comprehensive critical care and advanced wound care therapies.

The Cancer Center
Our mission at LVHHN is to reduce the burden on cancer patients and their families and treat all patients with compassion and respect for their individuality and dignity. We have built a comprehensive program that offers the most advanced approaches to care delivered by highly skilled experts using state-of-the-art technology.

The Center for Healthy Aging offers an outstanding array of services to the older members of our community including medical care, education, social activities and much more.

Colon & Rectal Surgery
The Division of Colon and Rectal Surgery at Lehigh Valley Hospital is served by six surgeons who are board-certified in colon and rectal surgery as well as general surgery. The Division of Colon and Rectal Surgery at Lehigh Valley Hospital is one of 30 national residency programs that train colon and rectal surgeons. Members of our division are board examiners for the specialty.

Diabetes Center
A program of Lehigh Valley Hospital and Health Network, the Helwig Diabetes Center was recently recognized by U.S. News & World Report as one of the top 50 hospitals for the treatment of hormonal disorders, including diabetes. Helwig Diabetes Center is committed to providing education to patients, families and healthcare professionals about living well with diabetes. In the form of individual and small group classes, the staff goes beyond the basics to provide quality information to help you and your family manage diabetes successfully.

Multiple Sclerosis Center of the Lehigh Valley
We provide an initial diagnostic evaluation for people suspected of having multiple sclerosis or related disorders. Misdiagnosis is a major issue in this area, and we attempt to provide a definitive diagnosis where possible. Diagnosis may require additional testing including MRI scanning, Evoked potential testing, laboratory testing, and spinal fluid analysis, all of which are available on the campus at Lehigh Valley Hospital .

Neurosciences Research
Our Mission at the Lehigh Valley Hospital Department of Neurosciences is to provide the best possible care to our patients with rapid diagnosis, treatment and prevention of a broad spectrum of neurologic diseases. We also aim to educate our patients, as well as their families, about their condition and its treatment as well as new advances in care and prevention. We strive to maintain the highest level of knowledge and education for our staff and team so that we are always able to provide the very best care.

Neurological Surgery
Lehigh Valley Hospital serves physicians and their patients as a regional resource for complex neurosurgical conditions. An experienced team of surgeons offers patients the most advanced procedures for brain and spine surgery, including treatment of brain aneurysms, comprehensive care for primary and metastatic brain tumors, neuroendoscopy, complex spinal instrumentation, degenerative spine disease and disc herniations, peripheral nerve surgery, stereotactic radiosurgery, surgery for pituitary tumors and spinal cord tumors, and vagus nerve stimulation.

The Regional Heart Center of Lehigh Valley Hospital
A pioneer in care of the heart, Lehigh Valley Hospital started the first open-heart surgery program in the region 32 years ago. Today, the specialists at our Regional Heart Center perform 1,000 open heart surgeries, nearly 5,000 cardiac catheterizations, 1,900 angioplasties and 1,250 procedures for electrical problems of the heart every year. Our heart program is the third largest in Pennsylvania , and our high volume means that our doctors have the extensive experience needed to achieve the best outcomes.

Sleep Disorders Center
In most cases, the problem can be diagnosed after you spend just one night in one of the Lehigh Valley Hospital ’s sleep disorders centers. While visiting the center, you will sleep in a private, home-like room. A specially-trained sleep technician will apply sensors to your body which will detect your level of sleep by measuring brain waves, eye movements, muscle tone, heart rate, respiration and more. The technician will monitor your progress during the session and videotape your sleep to capture any abnormalities observed during the study. The study is painless and designed for your comfort.

Stroke Center
“The earlier the medical intervention for stroke, the better the odds of a strong recovery,” says neurologist John E. Castaldo, M.D., Chief of Neurology of the Lehigh Valley Hospital Stroke Center. LVH has assembled a “rapid response” program geared toward fast and accurate diagnosis, immediate treatment and all the care patients need as they recover.

Surgical Services
The department of surgery, comprised of 17 surgical divisions, is dedicated to advancing surgical education, research and patient care. More than 20,000 operations are performed annually by 133 members of the hospital's surgical staff. The department has pioneered minimally invasive surgery techniques from laparoscopic surgery to stereotactic radiosurgery and orthopedic surgery, among others to improve recovery time and patient comfort.

Tobacco Cessarion Services
Through a twelve-month counseling program, individuals are provided with nicotine dependence assessment, education, cessation and relapse prevention strategies. Individuals have the option of face-to-face counseling and/or phone sessions. The counseling program is a comprehensive approach to nicotine dependence withdrawal and combines behavioral and addiction concepts, relapse prevention, and pharmacologic therapy. Cessations services and specific treatment plans are individualized for each person with the assistance of their counselor. Care plans are developed through an interactive process between the individual, the counselor, and the referring physician, if any.

Transplant Services
The Transplant Center of the Lehigh Valley performed its first kidney transplant in 1991. Since that time, we have performed kidney transplants for more than 320 patients, with overall results that meet or exceed national averages.
We recognize that patient care in the transplant process requires the expertise of many health care professionals. We use a multidisciplinary team approach with specialists who address issues that are specific to each patient, including overall health, emotional well-being and the impact of transplant on work and family life. By involving the patient with his/her nephrologist and dialysis staff for patient care decisions, our team strives to ensure that patients have the best transplant experience while giving patients the best chance for a healthy recovery and a better quality of life.

Trauma Center
One of the largest Level 1 programs in Pennsylvania offers comprehensive care for trauma and burn victims.The Trauma Center at Lehigh Valley Hospital continually upgrades to stay on the cutting edge of technology. This allows us to be better prepared to treat you in an emergency where every second can mean the difference between life and death. Our newest diagnostic technique, focused abdominal sonography for trauma ("FAST"), allows trauma doctors to diagnose the impact of trauma on the abdomen and chest and to screen for blood clots in the legs quickly and without ever having to reach for a scalpel.

Vascular Surgery
We specialize in the following surgical procedures: carotid endarterectomy, abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) repair and femoral-popliteal bypass. Our group is one of the first in the Lehigh Valley to perform a new endovascular technique to repair abdominal aortic aneursyms. This new endovascular surgical technique reduces respiratory and cardiac complications as well as patient recovery time. In the past three decades, vascular surgery has evolved into a discrete specialty with dedicated training programs and specialty board qualification by the American Board of Surgery.

Women's Health Center
Women's Health Services is a health resource and referral service for women of all ages. Created in 1987, it has grown to become a community leader in women's health education and a leading advocate for women's health issues. The Wound Healing Center
Our expert team of health care professionals use the latest techniques to heal difficult wounds and ulcers. We offer extensive wound and health assessment combined with aggressive wound debridement, treatments, medications and therapies specially designed to enhance wound healing and much more.
