Valley Hospital started the first open-heart
surgery program in the region 32 years ago.

Center perform 1,000 open heart surgeries,
nearly 5,000 cardiac catheterizations, 1,900
angioplasties and 1,250 procedures for electrical
problems of the heart every year. Our heart
program is the third largest in Pennsylvania
, and our high volume means that our doctors
have the extensive experience needed to achieve
the best outcomes.
Sleep
Disorders Center
In most cases, the problem can be diagnosed
after you spend just one night in one of the
Lehigh Valley Hospital ’s sleep disorders
centers. While visiting the center, you will
sleep in a private, home-like room. A specially-trained
sleep technician will apply sensors to your
body which will detect your level of sleep
by measuring brain waves, eye movements, muscle
tone, heart rate, respiration and more. The
technician will monitor your progress during
the session and videotape your sleep to capture
any abnormalities observed during the study.
The study is painless and designed for your
comfort.

of many health care professionals. We use a multidisciplinary team approach with
specialists who address issues that are specific to each patient, including overall
health, emotional well-being and the impact of transplant on work and family
life. By involving the patient with his/her nephrologist and dialysis staff for
patient care decisions, our team strives to ensure that patients have the best
